Bay to Lake is an annual, nonprofit, competitive 100km relay race from San Francisco,
California
How does this race work?
Before the race, participants are organized into teams. Each team will have a captain who will act as the
main point of contact.
During the race
At the start of the race, you will send off your first runner from the starting point.
The rest of the team will drive to the first checkpoint.
Once the runner reaches the first checkpoint, you will send off the next runner.
You continue to leapfrog like this until the finish line.
After the race
You can drive back home.
There may be an option to stay overnight.
Does the runner have to follow the strava route?
Yes, as long as it is safe to do so. If there is any hazard or obstacle preventing this, they should use their best
judgement to arrive at the next checkpoint safely.
